Deeply inspired by the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, and in response to General Secretary Xi Jinping's call to revive China's outstanding traditional culture, Gaopeng launched a "Read One Book, Happy Family" initiative. Through recitation, transcription, and reflection, the activity aims to appreciate the essence of traditional Chinese culture and raise cultural confidence to a new level.
Chinese culture, tested by more than five thousand years of practice, has become the spiritual lifeline and source of confidence of the Chinese nation. So where should we start? As the ancients said: "If you aim for the best, you will only reach the middle." In other words, even if we study the best works, we can only hope to achieve a moderate level at most. Therefore, we should choose the best books to read. And what are the best books? They are classics. Classics are the most valuable works of a nation. "Jing" means enduring and constant; "Dian" means norm and model.
The classics of traditional Chinese culture mainly include "one root, six classics, eight canons, nine essentials, and fourteen primers." After carefully considering the length, difficulty, and suitability of the texts, the initiator chose Laozi's Tao Te Ching as the first book for this activity.
After the initiative was launched, all Gaopeng employees enthusiastically signed up. Combining collective transcription and recitation with team-based group reflection, they began studying one chapter of the Tao Te Ching every week.
Gaopeng employees have also been excerpting notable passages. The activity has been running for seven weeks, and Gaopeng employees continue to complete their daily check-in tasks with the attitude of doing every task well. At the same time, everyone's understanding of traditional culture and the Tao Te Ching is steadily deepening.
Reading the classics of our nation may not bring us immediate wealth, but we must not forget that we have a more valuable spiritual dimension. We hope that through this activity, all Gaopeng people will be influenced to attach greater importance to traditional culture and the building of spiritual civilization, and in turn, to influence their families, friends, partners, and more and more people...
