Product Details
Alias: Thiocarbamide
Molecular formula: CH4N2S
Molecular weight: 76.12
Product properties: The pure product is a colorless orthorhombic crystalline powder with a bitter taste. Density 1.40 g/cm3, melting point 176-178°C. It sublimes under reduced pressure and at 150-160°C. It is soluble in water, soluble in ethanol when heated, and very slightly soluble in ether. It is hygroscopic in air, decomposes when heated, and partially isomerizes when molten to form ammonium thiocyanate.
Manufacturing method: Our factory produces thiourea by hydrolyzing calcium cyanamide with alkaline lime water to absorb waste hydrogen sulfide, obtaining calcium thiocyanate. The calcium thiocyanate is then condensed with calcium cyanamide to form thiourea. After filtering out the residue, a dilute thiourea solution is obtained. Through concentration, crystallization, spinning and drying operations, the finished product is obtained, then dried and packaged.
Main uses:
1. Used in the pharmaceutical industry to manufacture drugs such as sulfathiazole, thyroid-suppressing medications, fattening pig powder, and feed additives;
2. Used as a bleaching agent in the textile industry, and as a flotation agent for metal ores in the mineral processing industry;
3. Used as a dyeing auxiliary in the printing and dyeing industry;
4. Used as a rubber vulcanization accelerator in the rubber industry;
5. Used as a photographic developer and toner in the photosensitive industry;
6. Used as an electroplating additive in the electroplating industry;
7. Used in metallurgy for the production of electrolytic copper and gold;
8. Used as a raw material for resin molding powder in the coating industry;
9. Used in the production of cold wave lotion in the daily chemical industry;
10. Used in the production of thiourea dioxide in the organic industry;
11. Used as a chemical reagent in analytical chemistry;
12. Additionally, it can be used for blueprinting and cleaning high-pressure boilers in power plants, etc.
Packaging specifications: Lined with plastic bag, outer plastic woven bag, net weight 25kg or 50kg per bag.
Precautions:
1. Thiourea is moderately toxic and can corrode the skin. It should be transported in accordance with regulations for toxic chemicals.
2. Store in a cool, ventilated, dry warehouse, protected from heat and moisture.
